Product description : This recall by DashVapes, Inc. involves all units of DotBox 300W by DotMod. The affected product comes in black, red, gold, and blue and bears a white DotMod logo on the side.

What are the defects :
What are the hazards : The recalled products do not contain the necessary circuitry to prevent the device from over-discharging the Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) battery included inside the unit. Over-discharge causes the LiPo battery in these devices to puff or swell after as little as four months. If it is puffed it is easier for it to be physically damaged or pierced by the device in which it’ s contained, which can result in the release of the toxic solvents inside the cells. As of November 10, 2017, the company has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada related to the use of the affected products.
What should consumers do : Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact DotMod by email with proof of purchase to return the product. For additional information, consumers may contact DashVapes, Inc. directly at 1-(416)-901-3274 or by email and they will assist with the return or exchange, or visit their website for more information. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.

สำนักงานคณะกรรมการคุ้มครองผู้บริโภค ได้รับทราบกรณีการเกิดอุบัติเหตุรถยนต์ โดยผลชันสูตรสาเหตุการเสียชีวิตเกิดจากชิ้นส่วนโลหะทะลุเข้าบริเวณคอ ซึ่งชิ้นส่วนดังกล่าวมีลักษณะเข้าได้กับชิ้นส่วนของชุดสร้างแรงดันถุงลมเสริมความปลอดภัย ยี่ห้อ ทาคาตะ (Takata) ทั้งนี้ เหตุการณ์การเสียชีวิตจากถุงลมนิรภัย ยี่ห้อ ทาคาตะ ได้เกิดขึ้นในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก และมีการเรียกคืนรถยนต์ จํานวน 100 ล้านคัน เพื่อเปลี่ยนถุงลมนิรภัยตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2551 และมีผู้เสียชีวิตจากกรณีถุงลมนิรภัยระเบิด จำนวน 8 ราย และบาดเจ็บมากกว่า 100 ราย ส่วนในประเทศไทยมีรถยนต์ จำนวน 12 บริษัท ที่ใช้ถุงลมนิรภัยยี่ห้อดังกล่าว โดยผู้ประกอบธุรกิจด้านยานยนต์ทั้ง 12 บริษัท ได้มีการจัดทำสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ เช่น ใบปลิว แผ่นพับ Infoghapic โดยประกาศในสื่อโซเซียลมีเดียของผู้ประกอบธุรกิจ และสื่ออื่น ไม่ว่าจะเป็น YouTube Facebook เป็นต้น

สถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 (COVID – 19) ในปัจจุบันมีผู้ประกอบการและผู้บริโภคใช้หลอดรังสี UVC ในการฆ่าเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 ตามบ้านเรือน เช่น การฆ่าเชื้อไวรัสบนธนบัตร เครื่องใช้ อุปกรณ์ หรือผลิตภัณฑ์อื่น ซึ่งจากข้อมูลของสถาบันโรคผิวหนัง กรมการแพทย์และราชวิทยาลัยจักษุแพทย์แห่งประเทศไทย พบว่ารังสี UVC มีความเป็นอันตรายต่อผิวหนังและดวงตา เมื่อได้รับการสัมผัสโดยตรง ดังนั้น คณะกรรมการว่าด้วยความปลอดภัยของสินค้าและบริการจึงมีข้อแนะนำว่าไม่ควรนำมาใช้ภายในบ้านเรือนหรืออาคารยกเว้นนำไปใช้ภายในสถานที่ปิดมิดชิด (ระบบปิด) หรือในขณะที่ไม่มีผู้อยู่อาศัยภายใต้การควบคุมของผู้เชี่ยวชาญ เช่น โรงพยาบาล

จากข้อมูลการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจากการใช้เครื่องแยกกากน้ำอ้อย เกิดจากการใช้นิ้วมือเข้าไปดึงชานอ้อยในขณะเครื่องกำลังทำงาน การถอดฝาครอบเครื่องเพื่อสะดวกต่อการใช้งาน หรือการนำเครื่องไปทำการดัดแปลงโดยอาจทำให้มีความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดอุบัติเหตุ จนเป็นเหตุทำให้ผู้ใช้งานเกิดความพิการต่อร่างกายอย่างถาวร จากความเป็นอันตรายดังกล่าวคณะกรรมการว่าด้วยความปลอดภัยของสินค้าและบริการมีความห่วงใยผู้ใช้เครื่องแยกกากน้ำอ้อย จึงมีข้อแนะนำให้ผู้ใช้งานทราบว่า ก่อนการใช้งานทุกครั้ง ผู้ใช้งานควรศึกษาคู่มือและปฏิบัติตามคู่มือการใช้งานอย่างเคร่งครัด และไม่ควรนำเครื่องไปทำการดัดแปลง
